| The Homemade Product
Recently in my travels through Eastern Europe, I explored the rural areas and countryside. Actually, I traveled back in time on a four-wheel drive, passing by horse and buggy carrying product to its destination.
As far as the eye could see there was farmland growing crops, acres upon acres. I enjoyed drinks of fresh well water and streaming cold mountain water. I bought tomatoes and cucumbers for lunch. They were fresh and satisfying, rich with flavor that I've never experienced in the USA. I had some berries for desert. There was nothing artificial about them. There are no pollutants in the ground.
As I traveled further, I saw a larger, unusual building. As I approached, people came out to greet me. It was a cannery. This was a production and packaging facility, for the neighboring farmers to sell their products to.
I met the manager. He was educated and spoke some English. He showed me the factory after I agreed to wear the sanitary cap and gown.
All products were produced naturally, without added colors or flavors or chemical preservatives of any kind. It was all natural and clean.
Then and there, I knew that I needed to bring part of history to the new world in the year 2005.
